Fixture Changes 2023

As per the Match Scheduling Policy, Football West can change a Club’s fixtures under the conditions set out in the policy. The Match Scheduling Policy can be found on our website under the Competitions tab.

If required, Football West can also change a Club’s fixtures with written consent from the opposition Club. This should be in the form of an email from the approved Club Admins. In these circumstances, Clubs are reminded that negotiations on fixture changes with opposition clubs can take any form including phone calls and text messages.

NOTE: Football West do not need to be copied in on the negotiation emails.

However, the confirmation and acceptance of the changes must be in emails from both Clubs. We will not accept screenshots of text messages as valid approvals.

Football West will require the following steps to be completed to action a request:
Email sent to Club Support that includes;
1. Opposition Club contact and any correspondence agreeing to fixture change.
2. Competition and division.
3. Original date/ time/ venue.
4. New agreed date/ time/ venue.

The use of emails allows us to verify the contact at the opposition Club and give them the opportunity to reply to the email and confirm their agreement, if required.

Football West will then update the fixture in the competition management software which will alert the Players, Referee and Team Managers of the new details.

We thank you for your co-operation with your fellow Clubs and adherence with the Match Scheduling Policy.
